You might not have heard but the latest Action Adventure RPG developed by Bioware under Electronic Arts is every nerds wet dream. Great game play, plot and best of all depending on your choices you can “Do it” with almost every female character. Quite the playa if you don’t mind me saying. Anyway this is probably as close to sex as you nerds will ever get. I kid. On those lonely nights there is always Sasha Grey. This is a “nice” game so you don’t really see anything but they do leave you with quite a lot to imagine. One thing that does bother me though is that pixelated sex between the characters still isn’t quite spot on just yet. Brings back memories of those muppets from “Team America”.

What is quite spot on in more ways than one however is the visuals and game play. Mass Effect 2, or ME2 for us cool people, is the continuation to Mass Effect 1 (yup Captain Obvious strikes again) and was released on Xbox 360 and PC. The game starts out with Commander Shepard’s ship the Normandy getting attacked. Shepard pretty much dies there and ends up floating in space. Don’t worry though because in the future when you’re dead they can always bring you back. He comes back to life 2 years later to do battle with a new mysterious alien race who call themselves The Collectors. Now I might be giving away the plot but i think these aliens are trying to tell us the collect things. Just a theory.

Game play is pretty awesome as you have 2 other group members and you can sometimes pull off some pretty nifty tag team moves and combos. Drawing enemy fire and flanking them for example. Graphics are excellent and you definitely get that whole jump up with your fist in the air when you win over a difficult enemy or stage. You can check out some of the video reviews and previews on Youtube to get a better Idea of what I’m talking about.

You have plenty of sub missions and various different endings that will make you want to come back to this game once you are done. Play the game as a badass, or a good guy or somewhere in between and you’ll find that you will have different options as the game goes on.

The voice cast for ME2 is not too shabby either. You’ll be listening and go like “Hey why does this guy sound so familiar?”. Well its probably because you have watched Battlestar Galactica, or The Matrix or Austin Powers (Yeah Baybeyy). The cast includes the likes of Martin Sheen, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Seth Green, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Keith David, Michael Dorn, Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan, Carrie-Anne Moss as well as some veteran voice actors.

Mass Effect 2 sold over 2 million copies the first week it hit the shelves. My only advise is give your family and friends a heads up because once you start playing this game you wont know what day it is.
